James M. Spencer (String) 75, of Letart, WV, passed away at home on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born in Mason County on April 10, 1946, a son to the late Carl and Pauline (Krebs) Spencer. Jim was a "lover of life" and enjoyed everyday that was given to him. Music was the passion of his life. Playing with his "music family" was his greatest joy. Singing, playing his guitar and spending time with his friends was his greatest blessing. Many thanks to the hundreds of friends and musicians which helped fulfill the life he loved. He will be sadly missed here but they'll be having a jamboree in Heaven. Heavens jamboree awaits. Please say yes to Jesus.

He is preceded in death by his Parents, Carl and Pauline Spencer, Brothers; Jackie Lynn Spencer, Carl Edward Spencer Jr. and Robert Ray Spencer, Sisters; Joan Roach and Vickie Sayre.

He is survived by his Wife, Betty Spencer, Sons; Scott Parsons, James M. Spencer II, Daughter; Jamie LaDon (Dave) Jenkins, Step-Children; Cassie (Jonathan) Casto and Arden Painter, Eight grandchildren and many great grandchildren, Brothers; Larry (Laura) Spencer, Garry Spencer, Ronnie (Becky) Spencer, Sisters; Janice Roush and Ethel (Bob) Taylor.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday November 1, 2021 at Deal Funeral Home in Point Plesant, WV. with Reverend Fred Sparks officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens, in Point Pleasant. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Charity of your choice.
