James E. Lucas, 84, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away surrounded by his loving family while at PVH Nursing & Rehab Center, May 19, 2018.  He was born March 8, 1934, in Mason County, WV,  a son to the late Jams E. Lucas SR. and Donna McGee Lucas. James retired from Kaiser Aluminum Plant as a Potman.  He served his country honorably while in the U.S. Air force.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Myrtle Shields; four sisters, Anna Mae Donahue, Mary Barnett, Alice Daugherty, and Phyllis Clendenin; and brother, Harry Lucas.

James is survived by his loving wife, Elfriede Metz Lucas; daughter, Valerie (Jeff) Cook); son, Mike and (Sandy) Lucas of Point Pleasant, WV; grand-children, Nicholas "Hoobie" Lucas, Brandon "Opie" Lucas, and Brooke & (Craig) Wilson; great-grandson, Colton Clay; and sisters, Jack Whittington of Point Pleasant, WV, Loretta Gillispie of Cross Lane, WV, and Joe Maynard.
