James Patrick Grimes, 27, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2018. He was born July 27, 1990, in Franklin County, OH, a son to the late Sandra, and Gwynne of Ruskin FL. He was a security guard. He was an avid fisherman, and loved his music, and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra, who died in 2017; maternal grandfather, Leonard Lee Reed, great-grandparents, Leonard C. and Naomi R. Reed, and Bonnie (Owen) Plants; paternal grandparents, Thomas Grimes, Lawrence (Dorothy) Grimes, and Isaac (Mary) Harman.

He is survived by his father, Gwynne of Ruskin, FL; grandmother, Barbara Harman of FL; fiancé, Katrina Kay of Letart, WV; sisters, April M. Wildermuth (William) Alexander, of Cordova, TN, Deanna Grimes of IN, Kyla Grimes of OH, and Alyssa Grimes of OH; grandparents, Wayne (Louise) Teeter of Point Pleasant, and Joyce Reed of Columbus, OH; aunts & uncles, Mathew (Lisa) Musgrave, and their children, Ian Mathew and Leigh Ann Musgrave, Tom Grimes of Montana, and Tina Blair of CA; nieces, Lilith Grimes, and Kennedy June Alexander; nephews (twins), Logan Wilder Alexander and Liam Rider Alexander; great aunt, Connie Fields; close friends, Larry and Donnie Hupp of Point Pleasant, and James Yeoman also of Point Pleasant; and many more close family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at 1 PM, with Richie Blain officiating. Entombment will follow in Meigs Memory Gardens, Pomeroy, OH. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
