James Luke Edmunds, 30 of Pliny, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. He was born on February 5, 1988 in Gallipolis, OH. He is survived by his parents Angela and Dwight Smith, Denver and Marilyn Edmunds, wife Victoria Holland Edmunds, daughters Makenna Chapman and Kensli Edmunds, brothers Josh Edmunds, Timothy Johnston, Joel and Jesse Smith, sisters Millie and Haley Smith, Tonika and Penelope Coleman. A niece Kyleigh Edmunds. Grandparents James and Betty McComas. Aunts and uncles James and Rosie Edmunds, Brenda and Robert Clark, Junior and Sandy Cremeans, Doris Noel, and Linda Mount. And many cousins and friends he loved dearly.

He is proceeded in death by grandparents Richard and Maudie Edmunds, an aunt Connie Clark, and uncles Richard Mount and Carl Hoeft.

He was an avid outdoorsman, former EMT at Cabell and Mason Counties, former Lieutenant at Winfield Volunteer Fire Department, former Deputy Chief at Valley Volunteer Fire Department, and former PCA at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant WV, June 5, 2018, at 1 pm, with Chelsie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Bowcott Cemetery (formerly Mt. Union) in Pliny, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers friends and family are asked to make donations to their local fire departments.
