James Carl Cooper, 83, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away, Saturday September 17, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 30, 1939, a son to the late Frederick Cooper and Mary Woodrum. James worked for American Alloy Steel Plant for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking.

He is preceded in death by, Wife of 63 years, Roxanne Cooper, Parents; Frederick (Mary) Cooper, Brothers; Frank Cooper, and Jackie Cooper, Sister; Maxine Blankenship.

James is survived by, Daughters; Jimmie Lynn (David) Harmon of Sardinia, OH, Vicky (Harold) Dorsey of Sardinia, OH, Delores (Joseph) Vallee of Gallipolis, OH, Sons; Frederick Allen Cooper (Nancy Cantrell) of Gallipolis Ferry, WV and Carl Matthew Cooper of Point Pleasant, WV, Grandchildren; Alicia Mount, Tiffany Mignerey, Jessica Hale, Payton Dorsey, Maggie Dorsey, James Allen Cooper, James Wallace, Victoria Vallee, and Alexandria Bays, Great Grandchildren; Gavin Kerr, Shyla Tucker, Callie and Cashton Mignerey, Maylee, Coulter and Crosley Elias and Dorsey Hale. He also leaves behind, Sisters; Joyce Sherritt of Owensville, KY, Shirley (James) Jordan of Owensville, KY, and Brother; John Cooper of Point Pleasant, WV. James will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Pastor Jeremy Mignerey officiating. Burial will follow at Suncrest Cemetery in Point Pleasant, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
