Jacque A. Fowler, 66 of New Haven died peacefully in her home on December 14th, 2020. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in September of this year. She spent her last weeks surrounded by her loving husband, children and grandchildren.
Jacque was born on March 13th, 1954 in Charleston, WV to the late Earnest Hall and Wanda Connolly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Donald A Gabritsch.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, David C. Fowler. In addition to her husband survivors include her daughter, LeiLani (Fowler) and Bobby Williams of Ponca City, Ok; her son, Cory and Maribel Fowler of New Haven; her grandsons, Andrew, Carson and Ian Fowler of New Haven; her granddaughters, ReaAnne, Ayanna and Jaycee Williams of Ponca City, Ok; her 3 nieces she and David raised, Brooke, Taylor and MacKenzie Gabritsch; her brother Darryl and Barbara Gabritsch of North Carolina; her brother Geoffrey and Sabine Gabritsch of Kentucky.
During her 66 years of life, Jacque was a highly active person in her community and in her children, grandchildren, and nieces' lives. As a child/young adult, Jacque was involved in girl scouts, pageants, and Eastern Star. She was also a majorette and traveled to Spain to twirl. As an adult, she became a 4H leader, a baton instructor, a paramedic, and a cheer coach. Some of the jobs she held were at a local doctor's office, Elkem Metals of Marietta and she was a substitute teacher.
Jacque's family was her life and she loved spending time with them on vacations and holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she made sure to make lasting memories and traditions with her family. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach and she loved sitting on an oceanside deck listening to the waves crash and watching her children, grandchildren and nieces play. She was an incredibly supportive wife and mother whose priority was her family. When her grandchildren were born, she found a love like no other and enjoyed spoiling them. She never stopped talking about her "babies/princesses" and her "boys".
A service to celebrate and remember Jacque will be held on Tuesday, December 29th at 6pm at Faith Baptist Church in Mason, WV. Per Jacque's request, no need to "get fancy", casual dress is acceptable. All Jacque's family and friends are welcome and face coverings are required. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the New Haven Public Library. Jacque loved books and children. Be sure to include a note with any donations stating, "In Memory of Jacque Fowler".
