Jackie E. Smith, 57, of Mason, WV, passed away March 5, 2019, while at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 24, 1961, in Mason County, WV, a son to Patricia Smith and Jackie E. Smith Sr. He was a furnace tapper at Felman Productions in New Haven. He attended WV State University on a baseball scholarship. He was a member of the Eagles in Pomeroy, and VFW in Mason. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Smith, grandparents, Virginia and Harold Smith and Lorena and Guy Hill.

Jackie is survived by his loving mother Patricia and Jackie Smith of Mason; brother, Fred Smith of New Haven, WV; sons, Shane Smith of Mason, and Justin Smith of Hartford; daughter, Maria Smith of Hartford; grandson, Easton Smith of Hartford; nephews, Tanner Smith of New Haven, and Casey Smith of Florida; and several extended family members, friends, and neighbors.

A memorial service will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 1 PM. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
