Jack Hilton Shiflet, 93, of Rutland, OH formerly of Point Pleasant, WV passed at his residence on the 16t of July. He was born in Point Pleasant on May 31st, 1929, to the late Lemuel and Alma Hilton Shiflet. Jack was employed at Kyger Creek Powe Plant for over thirty-five years. He was a Navy Veteran and attended First Southern Baptist Church. Jack was actively involved in the Minturn #19 Lodge. As of October, Jack would have been a member for 67 years.

He was preceded in death by, Daughter; Darlene Sakac, Sister; Becky Bibbee, and Brother; Hugh Shiflet.

Jack is survived by his wife of 74 years, Elizabeth Cottrill Shiflet, Children; Denise (Mike) Nolan, Jack (Penny) Shiflet, and Jeff Shiflet. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Gathering Place, 31665 McGuire Road, Pomeroy, Ohio 457669 on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, from 1:00 PM-6:00 PM. All family and friends are welcome. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
