Hattie Jane McDaniel, age 79, of West Columbia, went to be with the Lord, Friday September 25th 2020, at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.

She was born May 16th 1941, a daughter to the late Frank McDermitt and Goldie (Simpson) McDermitt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, John Harve McDaniel; son, Johnny Dean McDaniel, daughter, Mary Jewel Lewis; siblings, Emma Rogers, Bill McDermitt, Louise Robinson, and John McDermitt.

Hattie is survived by her son David (Sherry) McDaniel of West Columbia, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Hattie will be laid to rest at Kirkland cemetery, beside her beloved husband John, with graveside services to be held Monday September 28, 2020 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations towards funeral expenses.
