Grovie Mae Rice Taylor, 96, of Point Pleasant, WV went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2020. She was born August 27, 1923, a daughter to the late Lucian and Eva Rice. She was an accomplished cook and seamstress who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and newborn infant daughter.

Grovie is survived by her sons, Walter Taylor Jr. of Point Pleasant, Dennis E. Taylor of Point Pleasant, Lucian (Dina) Taylor of Teresa, NY, Shawn (Stephanie) Peters of Point Pleasant; daughters, Doris Peters of Point Pleasant, Darlene (Bo) Elliott of Kitts Hill, OH, and Pam (Larry) Dickinson of Ironton, OH; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, nine great-great grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
