George Edward Jodon, 86, of Leon, WV, went home to be with the Lord February 13, 2019, surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born July 23, 1932, in Akron, OH, a son to the late Theodore Jodon and the late Irene Stroll Jodon. He was a machinist and worked for Goodyear Aerospace in Akron, Malibal Iron, and Point Pleasant Marine and OKAN marine in Gallipolis. He attended the Wesleyan Holiness Church in Point Pleasant. He loved working and stayed busy. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors in general.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore & Irene Jodon; three brothers, and four sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Janet Carol Gandee Jodon of Leon; three sons, George (Karen) Jodon of Leon, Stephen (Darlene) Jodon of Mason, WV, and Jeffrey (Cheryl) Jodon of Mason, WV; and three daughters, Debra (Charles) Seymour of Leon, Connie (Brian) Conley of North Carolina, and Pamela Jodon of Point Pleasant; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one on the way; as well as many other extended family members, friends, and neighbors. George will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Saturday, February 16, 2019, at 1 PM, with Pastor Danny Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Leon, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
