Friend Furbee94   passed June 28, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 9, 1924, in Marshall County, WV, a son to the late Wiley Furbee and Nettie Lucas Furbee. He was a railroad engineer. He was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, and a Mason. He was a cultured man and was instrumental in bringing art and culture to Point Pleasant. He played guitar and enjoyed music, was an avid reader, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Nettie Furbee; his loving wife of over 60 years, Betty Lee Barker Furbee; and beloved daughter, Connie Hummell.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Mary Kay Olson of Atlanta, GA, Jeanene Elaine Hamilton of Williamstown, KY, and Sue Furbee of Point Pleasant; his faithful companion, Speck; as well as several other extended family members, friends, and neighbors. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
