Freda Mayes, 75, of Ashton, WV passed away with family by her side on March 2, 2020 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born August 31, 1944 to the late Stanley and Garnet Stewart. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Randall Mayes.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a son Dwayne Mayes, sister Hazel Jeffers and brothers Dave Stewart, Lawrence Stewart, Edward Stewart and Leo Stewart.

She is survived by a daughter Patricia (Terry) Meadows, sons Wayne (Linda) Mayes and Darrell Mayes, daughter in law Teresa Mayes all of Ashton, WV; sisters, Doris (Mark) Henry and Ellie (Ralph) Scarberry; brothers, Clayton (Connie) Stewart and Curtis (Shelia) Stewart. Also surviving are grandchildren Scott (Shelly) Meadows, Samantha (Michael) Hawk, Tyler Mayes, Jasmine Mayes, Sierra Mayes, great grandchildren Leah Meadows, Paisleigh Mayes, Kambrie Mayes and Brantley Hawk all of Ashton, WV. She leaves behind many nieces , nephews and friends.

Services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Pt. Pleasant, WV on Thursday, March 5, 2020 with the viewing from 11:00am to 1:00pm. The Funeral will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Charles Langdon officiating. Burial will follow at Apple Grove Memorial Gardens in Apple Grove, WV.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Mayes, Scott Meadows, Terry Meadows and Darrell Mayes.
