Earl Lewis Selby passed away on October 26th, 2018 at the age of 91. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor Lee Selby.

He was dearly loved by his children, Greg (De) Selby, Kelly (Richard) Brush. Grandchildren, Carey Selby, Zach (Hannah) Selby, Seventy (Mick) Sharron, Omega (Justin) Blanton, Madi (Brandon) Sayre, and Meredith Brush. Great grandchildren, Selby Wynn and Jaxon Michael Blanton and Jacob Dean Sharron.

Faithful worshippers at Balls Chapel Church, Earl and his wife, Eleanor were devout Christians who led by example to all they knew. In his later years Earl attended Canaan Land Church in Grove City, OH, where he made many friends with his inviting sense of humor.

Earl served his country from 1945 to 1947 on the USS Ajax, sailing throughout the Pacific theater. Driving his own trucks for over 60 years, he was an owner-operator traveling through every state in the continental US and covering over 4 million miles.

Earl worked hard to provide for his family, with an unshakable work ethic and contagious sense of humor. From the moment folks met Earl, he was a jokester, poking fun and filling the room with laughter.

He was a loving husband and father. He took much pride in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will best be remembered for loving them all and making them laugh each and every day.

Services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 1 PM, with full military rites conducted by American Legion Post #23 and the WV Navy Honor Guard. Burial will follow in Beale Chapel Cemetery in Apple Grove. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-1 PM prior to the service.
