Doris Maxine Peters, 80, of Point Pleasant, WV went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2025, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV.  She was born January 16, 1945, in Leon, WV the daughter of John W. Peters and Grovie M. Taylor.  She was employed with GC Murphy's and then Ames for more than 28 years.  She later worked for Odell Lumber before she retired. She loved spending time with her Grandfather and Grandmother on the farm when she was growing up and spending time with her children Shawn and Pam along with her sister Darlene, her Grandchildren and her friends.

She is preceded in death by, Parents; John W. Peters and Grovie M. Taylor; Sister; Great Grandparents Lucian (Eva) Rice.

She is survived by her children; Son; Shawn (Stephanie) Peters, Daughter; Pamela (Larry) Dickinson, Brothers Walter Taylor Jr, Dennis Tayor, Lucian Dale (Dina) Taylor and her sister Darlene (Bo) Elliott, Grandchildren; Ryan (Bethany) Peters, Alice (Brad) Faircloth, Stacie Peters (Michael Pearson), David Thompson II, Kasie (Philip) Tucker, Skylar Peters and 9 great grandchildren and several close nieces and nephews. Doris will be missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be on Wednesday April 23rd, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant WV with Pastor Joe Knott officiating.  Burial will be at Yauger Cemetery, Leon WV.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice house would be appreciated.
