Donna Sue Short, 90 of Apple Grove, West Virginia passed away August 6, 2026. She was born August 28, 1935, in Kanawha County, West Virginia to Harold and Blanche (Bracken) Hastings. Donna loved spending time with all of her grandkids along with taking special trips to dinner with her son every week and was an absolute die-hard Wrestling fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Blanche Hastings, husband Elmer R. Short, daughter in law Nancy Short, daughter Sherry Mayes, brother Gary Hastings and sister-in-law Harriet Hastings.

Donna Sue is survived by her son, Billy Short, brother Sammy Hastings, sister-in-law Nancy Hastings, son-in law Roy Mayes, grandchildren Alissa (Rich) Reymond, great-grandchildren Andrea (Josh) Swisher and Desiree Mayes, Marley and Tyler Reymond, great-great grandchildren Blake Ferguson and Addison and Kayce Swisher. Also, her very special friends Jeanne Roush, Becky, Blake and JW Adkins.

Per Donna's wishes there will a dinner on August 28, 2026 at 5:00 pm at the Harmon Park Memorial Building. Please keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
