Donna Joyce Harper, 81, of Apple Grove, WV, departed this life on Friday, September 26, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her loving son, James Nutter; bonus daughter, Susan Shields; her parents, Robert and Vera Parsons; and Bobby Joe Harper, with whom she shared her greatest love.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Leandra Harper, who was always her pride and joy; her bonus children, Ernie (Tina) Harper, Robert Harper, and Stacie Harper; and her husband, Gregory Welch.

Donna was a member of House of Praise and Worship and dedicated her life to giving back to others. She touched the lives of everyone she met, and her presence will forever be missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Deal Funeral Home with services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Gig Page and Ernie Harper in Point Pleasant, WV. A burial will follow at Letart Evergreen Cemetery. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to Deal Funeral Home to assist with service costs.
