Donald G. Lester, 70, of Ceredo, WV, went home to be with the Lord April 25, 2018, after a sudden illness. He was born June 12, 1947, in Wayne County, WV, a son to the late Elmer Lester and Ruth Cox Hitchcock of Ceredo. He was a truck driver which he loved, and enjoyed travelling on the open road. He attended the Church of God in Kenova, WV, and was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed doing woodworking projects.He was a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Lester; and Betty Joyce White Lester; step-father, Raymond Hitchcock.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Hill Lester of Kenova; his loving mother, Ruth Cox Hitchcock; daughter, Donise Rae (Thomas Cripple) Cron of Ashland, KY; grandson, Jeffrey Cron of Ashland; great-grandaughter, Amelia Cron; sisters, Vickie Robert) Haynie of Kenova, and Linda (Steve) Fouch of Kenova; step-brother, Darrell Hitchcock of Cleveland, OH; half brother, John Lester of Savannah, GA; half sisters, Francis Covington and Jeanette Lester  both of Savannah, GA; his beloved dog "Bear"; his church friends, as well as other extended family, friends, and neighbors. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

At this time, there will be no visitation. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
