Donald G. Byus, 77, of Mason, WV passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2023, at home. He was born on May 26, 1946, a son to the late Cecil "Preacher" and Lena McDaniel Byus. Donald was a member of Laborers Local 543 for 58 years.

He is preceded in death by, Parents; Cecil "Preacher" (Lena) Byus, Son; Terry Don Byus, Brother; Alan Byus, Sister; Patty Thomas, and Step-granddaughter; Andrea Bailes.

Donald is survived by, Wife; Debra Byus of Mason, WV, Daughter; Lori (Jamie) McClanahan of Point Pleasant, Son; Eric Byus of Point Pleasant, Grandson; Chauncey McClanahan of Point Pleasant, Elijah (Lexi) McClanahan of Louisville, KY, Step-Daughters; Deana (Jason) Spaulding of Point Pleasant, Heather (Randy) Spurlock of Point Pleasant, and Leslie (Richard) See of Point Pleasant, Step-Grandchildren; Trenton Bailes, Jesse Bailes, Hannah Spurlock, Treyce Beckner, Autumn (Abram) Pauley, Austin Spaulding, Hunter Bonecutter, Jamie Ray Bonecutter and Donavan Spaulding, Brother; Andy Byus o Gallipolis, and Sisters; Donna Kay of New Have and Wanetta Beck of Maryland. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Donald will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home with Evangelist JR Holsinger officiating. Burial will follow at Kirkland Memorial Gardens in Point Pleasant, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on August 23, 2023. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
