David Allen Sturgeon, 46, of New Haven, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH. He was born February 23, 1971, in Mason County, WV, a son to Dixie Sturgeon and Paul Lee Sturgeon. He worked at Village Pizza in Point Pleasant as a cook and delivery driver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lee Sturgeon; paternal grandparents, Paul and Verna Sturgeon; maternal grandmother, Dolly Waugh; sisters; Hazel Lynn Sturgeon, and Martina Violet Sturgeon; and brother, Harry Sturgeon.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dixie Sturgeon of New Haven; aunt, Sadie Wilson of New Haven; great uncle, Don Waugh of Ashton, WV; Great aunts, Mary Byus of Ashton, and Lou Waugh also of Ashton; nieces, Leigh Ann Cochran, & Chastity Hammond; nephews, Jason Roy Sturgeon & Harry Lee Sturgeon Jr.; great nieces, Bethany Faye Cochran, Chrissy Joe Akers, Railyn Sylvester, Gracie Hammond, & Abbagale Hammond; great nephew, Braydon Hammond; and cousin, Ashley Wilson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 14, 2017, at 1 PM, at Ball's Chapel Church Cemetery in Ashton, with Rev. Charles Willet officiating. Friends may visit the family at the church from 12-1 PM prior to the service. Please visit dealfh.com to send condolences to the family.
