Daniel Nathan Rife, 42, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away December 3, 2018. He was born April 23, 1976, in Mason County, WV, a son to Gary Rife and Wilma (Lathy) McDermitt. He was self-employed.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Rife; maternal grandparents, Rosa and Oris Lathy.

He is survived by his father, Gary Rife (Nancy Priddy) of Cheshire, OH; mother, Wilma (Scott) McDermitt of Gallipolis Ferry, WV; son, Chandler Rife of Point Pleasant; daughter, Rhiannon Rife of Point Pleasant; paternal grandmother, Norma Cayton of Gallipolis Ferry; mother of his children,  Brooke Leonard of Point Pleasant; sisters, Rachel Stout (Jason), and Stacey Rayburn, both of Gallipolis ; and special brother, Christopher Thomas.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 2 PM, with Jay Sheline officiating. Burial will follow in Creston Cemetery in Leon, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home Sunday, from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
