Connie Lou Thornton, 78 of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away Monday April 13, 2026, at Arbors in Gallipolis, Ohio after a long illness. She was born February 12, 1948, in Pliny, WV to the late David and Ruthie (Wears) Stover. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her flowers. She attended church at House of Praise and Worship in Kingtown, Point Pleasant, WV.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Barbara Birchfield.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Jimmy Thornton, Sr, son, Jimmy Thornton Jr, grandchildren, Eric (Stephanie) Birchfield and Jeremy (Susie) Birchfield, and many great grandchildren.

Per Connie's request there will be no service. Pease keep her family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
