Connie Sue Dalton, 64, of Ona, WV passed away January 27, 2021 while at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, WV following a brave and hard fought battle with cancer. She was born June 9, 1956 in Huntington, WV, the daughter of the late Leo Francis Shaw and Mary (McCarty) Shaw. She was teacher by heart and by trade, dedicating years working in special education, making differences in so many lives that might have been dismissed by others. She was funny and bright and always beautiful.

She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by her husband of over 47 years Thomas Avery Dalton, a daughter and son in law, Erin Dalton and Jared Stephens, her beloved grandson Marcus Avery Campbell, her brother Robert Shaw, and a whole gang of granddogs.

In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her name to Huntington Ronald McDonald house ( https://apps.rmhchuntington.org/donate-now ) During her cancer battle she was often struck by seeing children fighting this fight along with her and it would make her so happy to know that those families in need were being assisted. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove, WV, at 2 PM. Friends may pay their respects from 1:30 - 2 PM prior to the service.
