Chester Roy Eugene Elliott, 72, of Vinton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 5, 2024. He was born on March 3, 1952, to the late Chester Elliott and Betty Crump and raised by Rodney L. (Betty) Wamsley. Roy loved life and spending time with his family, In addition to being a strong family man he was very proud of his many years as a coalminer and loved his union brothers. Roy once said everyone dies but you are never forgotten as long as you are remembered by the ones that loved you and if you knew Roy, he was someone you would never forget. His legacy is his family, and he will be missed dearly.

He is preceded in death by, Biological Father; Chester Elliott, Parents; Rodney L. (Betty) Wamsley, Stepbrother; Rusty Wamsley.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Elliott, Children; Tonia (Jason) Nott, Christopher Eugene Elliott, Betheny Elliott (James Hunt), Grandchildren; Christian (Ariel) Elliott, Ashley Spry (Ethan), Amanda Elliott (Dillon), Austin (Madison) Nott, Kaylee Nott (Alex), Tyler Belcher and Jasmine Kimble (Ridge) and great grandchildren; Gunner, Brynleigh, Brixton, Crulynn. He also leaves behind two brothers: David Elliott and Jeffrey Wamsley. He will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM with visitation preceding at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 9th, 2024, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Pastors Denver McCarty, and Teddy Russell. A burial will follow at Craigs Family Cemetery in Grimms Landing.
