Charles Horton Thornton, 71, of Leon, WV, passed away March 27, 2018. He was born January 29, 1947, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Claude Thornton and Myrtle Stephens Thornton. He worked maintenance at Pleasant Valley Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Myrtle Thornton; his loving wife, Wilma Pierson Thornton; brother, Paul Thornton; and sister, Genevieve Thornton.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Vickie Blake of Leon, WV; grandchildren, Dakota Peters of Boone County, WV, Dakota Blake of Leon, Shawn Blake of Leon, and great-grandson Brantley Blake, and a host of extended family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

At Charles's request, there will be no visitation. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, is serving the family.
