Charles Edgar Stover, 84, of Point Pleasant, WV, passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center on July 12, 2017. He was born September 17, 1932, in Mason County, WV, a son to the late Alva Joseph Stover and Margaret Marie Sayre. He was a retired carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters Local #1159 of Point Pleasant. He served his country honorably in the US Army and enjoyed working with wood.

He is preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Robert Stover and Dennis Stover.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna "Mae" Stover of Point Pleasant; special friends, Dave Melton and Leah Higginbotham of Buffalo, WV, Mike (Becky) Egnor of Point Pleasant, Frank (Laura) Shafer of Clendenin, WV, special niece, Karen Sue Dobson of Sycamore, Ill, Wayne (Anna) Raber of Charm, OH; and a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017, at 2 PM at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, with Marshall Bonecutter officiating. Burial with full military honors by WV Honor Guard and American Legion Post #23 of Point Pleasant will follow at Creston Cemetery in Leon, WV. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
