Charles Wayne Baird, 61, of Gallipolis, OH passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Pleasant Valley Hospital after a short illness. He was born July 19, 1961, a son to the late of Marvin Baird and Dorothy Day. Charles worked many years as a union painter. He loved to pick on ya, work on cars, take kids fishing, and always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors.

He is preceded in death by parents; Marvin (Dorothy) Baird, Brothers;Mike Baird and Ore Baird, Sister; Regina Baird, Brother-in-laws; Tommy Sims and Richard Macias.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 29 years married, Ellen Baird of Gallipolis, OH, Daughter; Savannah (Matthew Holmes) Baird of Gallipolis, OH, Sons; Nathanial and Nakkota Baird of Gallipolis, OH, Sisters; Hope Armstrong of Tennessee, Patty Sims of Camden, OH, Gail Baird of Gallipolis, OH, Sarah Chaney of Gallipolis, OH, Linda Macias of Gallipolis, OH and Louise Woodall of Gallipolis, OH, Brothers; Phil (Tanya) Baird of Gallipolis, OH, Marvin (Phyllis) Baird of Gallipolis, OH and John (Ellen) Baird of Nevada. He also leaves behind grandchildren, Ellie Baird and Grayson Holmes. Charles will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to service on Monday, December 5th, 2022. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you donate toward the funeral expenses.
