Carol Fay (Durst, Kapp) Jenkins passed away Thursday October 14, 2021 at Overbrook Rehab Center after a long struggle with Alzheimer's.  She was born December 26th, 1941, a daughter to the late Clyde and Gladys Durst. Carol enjoyed gardening, singing, and hunting.  She had a great sense of humor and was overall a fun person to be around.  She always loved children, especially her own children and grandchildren.

A woman of faith and long standing member of Lifeline Apostolic Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend.  Carol worked several places in her life including;  Lakin State Hospital, Holzer Hospital and Pleasant Valley Nursing Home.  She also achieved many awards through her endeavors selling Home Interior Products.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Clyde and Gladys (Knapp) Durst, Husband of 33 years Harry Kapp; Brothers; Brycel, Orlin (Geneva), Dwight and Albert,  Sister;  Irma (Durst) Rollins-Freeze,  Sister-in-law;  Linda (Gary) Durst,  Brother-in-law;  Jerry (Marilyn) Dean.

Carol is survived by her loving husband of 22 years;  Darrell (Gene) Jenkins Sr.,  Daughters;  Lorena (Boyd) Kapp Hecker  of Hamburg, NY,  Deborah (Rick) Kapp Brown of Tonawanda, NY,  Son;  Richard (Charlene) Kapp of Manchester, TN,  Brothers;  Gary Durst of Springfield, OH,  Michael (Portia) Durst of S. Vienna, OH Sisters;  Marilyn (Durst) Dean of Leon, WV, Nancy Durst of Point Pleasant, WV, Sister in Law; Geneva Durst of Leon, WV, Stepchildren;  Douglas (Virginia) Jenkins of Racine, OH,  D.J. (Lois) of Middleport, OH,  Destiny (Jeffery) Mundy of Middleport, OH. She was beyond blessed with 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren who lovingly called her "Granny".   Carol will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday October 21st, 2021, at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV with Rev. Danny Goodman officiating.  Visitation will be two hours prior. Burial will follow at Creston Cemetery in Evans, WV.   Friends and family may gather for dinner after graveside services at Good Shepard Church, 13468 Ripley Road, Point Pleasant, WV 25550.  Social distancing and Face masks are recommended for everyone's safety.  Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
