Carl Steven "Steve" Thacker, 69, of Glenwood, WV passed away, Sunday, January 9 ^th , 2022, at Hospice in Huntington after a short battle with cancer. He was born January 21, 1952, a son to the late James (Maggie) Thacker. He enjoyed spending time hunting.

He is preceded in death by parents; James (Maggie) Thacker, Sisters; Evelyn Pinkerman, Opal Waugh, Daisy Casey, Emily "Cricket" Smith, Joyce Dowden and Linda Hatten, Brothers; Kenneth Thacker, Charles "Gary" Thacker, and Vernon Thacker.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 18 years; Tina Thacker of Glenwood, WV, Sons; Steven Thacker of Point Pleasant, WV, Kevin Thacker of Point Pleasant, WV, Daughter; Ann "Sis" Thacker of Point Pleasant, WV, Stepchildren; Aaron Exline (Angie) of South Point, OH, Nolan Exline (Summer) of South Point, OH, Joey Marie Exline (Nathan) of Glenwood, WV and Christopher Exline of Milton, WV. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and Sisters; Vergie Hughes of Ashton, WV, Nancy Steger of Chesapeake, OH, Brother; Dallas Thacker of Ashton, WV. He will be missed by many extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Deal Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Mayes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Newman-Ferguson Cemetery in Wayne County, WV. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family. Social distancing and facemasks are recommended.
