Carl Gene Adkins, 54, of Ashton, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  He was born November 2, 1963, in Logan, WV, a son to the late Mary Ann Adkins, and Carl Adkins I of Ashton, WV. He was a logger.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Messer Adkins, and grandson, Carson Edwards.

He is survived by his father, Carl Adkins I of Ashton; wife, Stephanie Adkins of Ashton; daughter, Rachel Adkins of Ashton; grandchildren, Vinny McBride, Emily McBride, Adrianna McBride, Megan (Zak) Enix, Anna Glenn, and Carla Adkins; brothers, Jason (Jennifer) Adkins, Gregory (Brenda) Adkins, both of Ashton; nieces, Katie Adkins (Casey) Row, Cindy Adkins, and Morgan Adkins; nephew, Jason Adkins II; great nephews, Kyle Row, Jace Row, and Tucker Row.

Funeral services will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 12 PM, with Pastor Aaron Karr officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Family Cemetery in Ashton. Friends may visit the family at the funeral home from 11-12 PM prior to the service.
