It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bonnie Louella McCarty, who left this world on June 3, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on June 29, 1957, in Ripley, West Virginia, Bonnie was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Bonnie was the daughter of Blain Walton DeVault and Phyllis Lorene (Seymour) DeVault, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion that she carried throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, CJ McCarty, and her siblings, Karen Grace Rollins, Aaron Matthew DeVault, as well as her son, Timothy Michael DeVault. The loss of her niece, Heather Taylor Thompson, her nephew, Joshua Adam Taylor, and her grandson, Jesse James Timothy DeVault, left profound marks on her heart.

Bonnie's spirit and legacy lives on through her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her two sons, James (Mary) Hodge and William Scott DeVault, along with her siblings, Eric Scott DeVault, Henry DeVault, and Dorothy Taylor. She also leaves behind the next generation of her family including her grandchildren, Austin Michael (Mady) Hodge, Haileigh Elizabeth (Jordan) Le Maitre, and Harley Ann Davidson DeVault, as well as her great-grandchild, Haisley Raine Hodge.

Bonnie was a remarkable woman whose interests included going on vacations, fishing, and, most importantly, spending quality time with her grandchildren. These hobbies brought her immense joy and created lifelong memories that her family will hold dear.

She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

A viewing will be held at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV on Friday, 6th, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
