Billy (Bill) Lee Hughes, 64, of Ashton, WV passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2023, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 39 years, Sherry Y. Hughes; both parents, Brady and Fay Hughes; and siblings, Kathy (Ricky) Thacker and Bobby Darren Hughes. Bill is survived by his son, Billy Lee Hughes Jr. of Ashton, WV; his pride-and-joys, which gave him his favorite and most honored title, "Papaw," Sumer, Javen, and Ahria of Milton, WV and Chase, Jasper, and Branson of Ashton, WV; Brothers, George (Karen), Scott (Tammy), Michael (Ashley), and Danny (Betsy) Hughes; Sisters, Penny (Daryl) Tackett and Dreama (Jeffery) Edmunds; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bill was hardworking family man whom had retired from State Electric Supply Company of Huntington, WV where he spent the better part of his life as a warehouse supervisor. Bill loved to spend his free time outside - no matter the weather - surrounded by his family. His memory will be cherished by his beloved family in addition to a number of friends and colleagues.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Hanna officiating. Burial will follow at Balls Chapel Cemetery in Ashton, WV. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28th, 2023, at Deal Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Deal Funeral Home is serving the family.
