Bill Allen Whittington, 63, of Gallipolis Ferry, WV was called Home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 17, 2023, with family by his side.
Bill was born on February 16, 1960, in Buffalo, WV, to the late Billie and Elsie Whittington. He was an avid hunter with turkey and coon hunting being his biggest passion. Bill was a "Jack of all trades," and was always willing to help family or friends. He was always willing to help family and friends without a question.
Bill was a dedicated employee at the Mason County School Board of Education in the Maintenance Department, where he retired after over 30 years of employment. He was also an employee at the Mason County Fair alongside Gary Keefer, whom the fair was dedicated to the both of them for all their dedication they gave over the years. He was a man who was full of knowledge, wisdom, stubbornness, who lived his life to the fullest on his own terms and usually accompanied by his smile, and his laugh. Those closest to him will surely miss him. Many of Bill's happiest moments were spent with family, good friends, and a front porch view, but his biggest love was his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy, whom he loved unconditionally.
