Obituary

Betty Lee Oldaker, 95, of Glenwood, WV, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday February 3, 2021 at her daughters' home in Southside, WV.  She was born December 29, 1925 in Apple Grove, WV, she was the widow of Walter W. Oldaker the daughter of the late Urias Buskirk and Helen Smith.  She retired at age 76 from the United States Postal Service a Postmaster of the Ashton, WV Post Office, she touched many lives at her work and serving her community.  Betty was a dedicated Christian; a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church and later Moore's Chapel Church of Ashton, Betty witnessed her love of Jesus and all he did for her to everyone, sang His praises and offered up prayers for all she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan Snider, sister Ruth Smith, brother Morris Buskirk, great-grand-daughter Mika Stevens, son-in-law Jimmy Nance and many other family and friends in her long life.

Betty is survived by son Marshall and (Judy) Oldaker of Crown City, Ohio, daughter Gloria Nance of Glenwood, WV, daughter and son in law Vikki and Frank Wears of Southside, WV, grandchildren; Marsha (Jon) Varney, Sherry (Bob) Kupstas, Scott Oldaker of FL Andrea Nance OH, Angus (Erica), Smith, Raven (Bill) Stevens, Bailey Oldaker all of WV and 11 great grandchildren Nina (Ryan) Dempsey, Lily (Cory) Watkins, Eddie Adams, Amber (Will) Lindberg, Chad Blaine, Arianna Oldaker, T.J. Oldaker Skylar Edmonds, Adelyn Smith, Hunter Smith, Brenan Stevens.  Five great-great grandchildren, Cameron Lindberg, Leah Lindberg, Zane Lindberg, Maverick Lindberg and Remington Dempsey and several special nieces and nephews, one cousin Rosalee Rood of OH, and many friends in Christ.

A graveside service will be held Monday February 8, 2021, at 1 PM, at Beale Chapel Cemetery, Apple Grove, WV, with Rev. Charlie Langdon officiating. For everyone's safety social distancing and facemasks required. Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV, is serving the family.
