Betty E. Higginbotham, 78, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Emogene Dolin Hospice in Huntington, WV. She was born in Point Pleasant, WV on December 14, 1942, to the late Eulah McDaniel See. She was a Christian and a member of New Hope Bible Baptist Church in Point Pleasant, WV.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Higginbotham, Sr; one stepson, Robert L. Higginbotham, Jr.; one brother, Harry J. Carry; one sister, Wanda Lou See; Aunt and Uncle Edana and Cecil McDaniel, Sr., who raised her; grandparents, John, and Iva McDaniel; aunt, Bertha McDaniel Shields, two uncles, Russell McDaniel, and Harry McDaniel.

Surviving is one stepdaughter, Teresa Higginbotham, and one stepson, Roger Higginbotham, both of Texas and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Phyllis Bowen, and Connie Pearson, both of Point Pleasant, WV; two brothers, Lester (Diane) See, and John (Judy) See; Sister-in-law, Eva J. Carry; Special Niece, Lois Sheppard of Point Pleasant, cousins; Leona Stover of Point Pleasant, WV and Polly Sheppard of Point Pleasant, WV, special friends Mike (Jeannie) Thomas and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Pallbearers will be Mike Thomas and Cody Thomas.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Deal Funeral Home, with Pastor Melvin Mock officiating. Visitations will be two hours prior to service. Burial will follow in Beech Hill Cemetery in Southside, WV. The family ask the facemasks to be worn and social distance for everyone's safety.
