Belva Marie Jordan, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born on October 28, 1930, in the small town of Letart, West Virginia, Belva was a beacon of strength and kindness, whose warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Belva was the beloved daughter of Ernest Blessing and Rena Sayre. She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brothers, Edward Lee Barr, Ralph Blessing, and Howard "Pete" Blessing, her daughters Valerie and Maxine Jordan, as well as 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Despite the losses she endured, Belva's spirit remained strong, to live for her family.
In her early years, Belva married the love of her life, Garland Jordan. Together, they created life, raising twelve children until Garland's unexpected passing. Belva remained a constant source of love and support for her surviving children. She is survived by her children, Roger (Alice) Jordan, Doris (Walter) Deneca, Audrey Bowling, Evelyn Little, Connie Bowen, Ramona (Bill) Wooten, Marcellene (David) Beegle, Pamela McFall, Tammy (Chuck) McDade, Lisa Jordan, along with her sister Leona Brandum and countless extended family, will forever cherish her memory.
Belva's legacy extends to an ever-growing family of 29 grandchildren. 65 great-grandchildren, multiple great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Belva was a woman of many talents as well as an example of hard work and dedication. In addition to caring for a large family, she was an active farmer and gardener. She also had a long history of running multiple bar establishments. She loved to remodel and shape her home to match her growing family as well as cook to feed them. She was known most for her big heart and hospitality. This was evident with the love and dedication she had for her family. Her absolute favorite thing in the world was spending time with her family and friends. Her home was open to them and anyone who would enter and once they did, they were family.
The family invites all who wish to celebrate Belva's remarkable life to join them for a service on April 17, 2026, at Deal Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 12:00 PM and the service will take place at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow immediately after at Baden Presbyterian Church. It will be a time to honor a remarkable woman who left a mark on her family and community. Belva Marie Jordan will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Randy Parsons will be officiating.
