Barbara K. Thompson, 76, of Point Pleasant, WV passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born September 15, 1946, a daughter to the late Carl "Popeye" (Mae) Bonecutter. Barbara formerly attended First Church of God in Point Pleasant, WV. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and traveling.

She is preceded in death by, Husband; Marlin Thompson, Son; Terry Don Byus, Father; Carl "Popeye" Bonecutter, Mother; Mae Byus.

Barbara is survived by, Daughter; Lori (Jamie) McClanahan of Point Pleasant, WV, Son; Eric Byus of Point Pleasant, Stepchildren; David Casteel of Gallipolis, OH, Marlin "Donnie" Thompson, Jr of Texas, C.A. Thompson of Proctorville, OH, James "Benny" Thompson of Proctorville, OH, and Jan Thompson of Texas, Grandchildren; Chauncey McClanahan of Point Pleasant, WV, Elijah (Lexi) McClanahan of Louisville, KY, and Logan Thompson of Texas and one sister, Lucy Caruthers of Gallipolis, OH. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.

Entombment will be at the Ohio Memory Gardens in Gallipolis, OH at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Deal Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. Deal Funeral Home serves the family.
