Cora Melba Abbott

Cora Melba Abbott, 86, formerly of Point Pleasant, WV., went home to be with her Savior on November 12, 2011, in Arbors of Gallipolis. She was born February 13, 1925 in Patriot, Ohio, a daughter to the late Edgar Ray "Heck" Donnally and American Ellen Roush Donnally. She was a Homemaker and a member of the House of Praise and Worship of Point Pleasant. She was a loving, caring person to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband Everett Charles Abbott, sons William Harold Abbott and Jerry Frank Abbott, brother Pearl William Donnally, and sister Gladys Bostic. She is survived by her loving children: sons Charles E. (Judy) Abbott of Toledo, Ohio, Kenneth (Wilma) Golianek of TN., daughers Georgie Chapman & (Steve Robie) of Bidwell, Ohio, Elva (Gary) Cotton of Point Pleasant, WV, and Barbara Bechtle of Gallipolis, Ohio, grandchildren Cora Chapman, Janette (Jerry) Coe, Georgianna Bechtle, Zeke Bechtle, Dino (Leslie) Abbott, Wayne Abbott, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Arbors at Gallipolis for all the special care they gave their mother, and thanks to Beck and Debbie for the special care you gave.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday November 16, 2011 at 1P.M. at the Deal Funeral Home With The Rev. Marshall Bonecutter officiating.  Burial will be in the New Lone Oak Cemetery in Point Pleasant,WV.  Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Tuesday November 15, 2011 from 6 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association at 1111 Lee St., Charleston, WV 25301.
